Sometimes, you’ve just got to get the picture so you can believe that such an incredible adventure ever happened.
Plitvice Lakes National Park was an awe-filled stopover in our (Chris and his bro, Nate) road trip, and it had no shortage of photographic moments in the brief stint we were there.
After driving from Zagreb (which, by the way, has super cheap dental care if you’re looking), we headed to our AirBnb, about half an hour from Plitvice Lakes National Park.
It was pretty sweet.
In the morning, we started to drive to Plitvice Lakes, only we had to take a detour. We pulled over when we saw the most bizarre thing; a town built around and over waterfalls.
The town is Slunj, and it’s a like a scene from Lord of the Rings.
After this, it was time to see Plitvice Lakes!
A UNESCO world heritage site, Plitvice Lakes National Park is stunning. We were only there for the shortest period of time (probably around 2.5 hours), as we were driving on to Sarajevo that day.
Here’s some snaps!
And that, friends, is Plitvice Lakes National Park! We left knowing there was still so much to see, but it was time to jump in a car and drive to Sarajevo.
Hope you enjoyed this post!
