Phoebe and I had the day off on Monday, and we wanted to make the most of it. So, being the Australians we are, we hired a car and headed for the nearest beach.

A two hour trip from Cambridge, we visited Norfolk County, in particular Holkham Beach and Wells-next-the-sea (yes, that’s actually the name of a town).

Hope you enjoy the snaps!

Cheers,

CB.

We found some leaves on the side of the road during the two hour drive. Pulled over, took the obligatory 'boots and leaves' shot.

There's a certain rawness to Holkham Beach. It's a sparse, long beach with a tremendous wind and a cold chill that leaves you feeling exhausted and exhilarated at the same time.

This is Tinkerbell and her owner. It was her first time on the beach and it was super windy, so she was a little bit nervous.

When I visit a city, I try not to pay for parking. This is for two reasons: Firstly, I'm unashamedly a cheapskate, and secondly, it forces you to walk around and see a bit more of the city. This beautiful street was captured on the walk from our car at Wells-next-the-sea.

Secondly, it means we walk around and see a bit more of the city, and not just the pre-prepared tourist postcards. This beautiful street was captured on the walk from our car at Wells-next-the-sea. That’s it from our day away! This trip confirmed that adventures don’t have to be complicated, expensive, lengthy ordeals. Grab someone you love, grab a camera and just go somewhere.
